Jovi San Nicolas – Financial Advisor/Broker Jovi San Nicolas Barred from Securities Industry | Recover Losses

Jovi San Nicolas was a previously licensed financial advisor/broker with Edward Jones. FINRA reports that Jovi San Nicolas was barred from the securities industry indefinitely in January 2021.

According to FINRA Allegations:

Without admitting or denying the findings, Jovi San Nicolas consented to the sanctions and to the entry of findings that Jovi San Nicolas informed FINRA that he would not provide information and documents requested by FINRA in connection with FINRA’s investigation into the circumstances giving rise to his termination from his former member firm.

According to Jovi San Nicolas’s BrokerCheck Report, one customer dispute has been filed alleging sales practice violations against Jovi San Nicolas.

Customer Dispute (7/24/2020): The POA for the client made various allegations related to Jovi San Nicolas’s recommendation in October 2019 that the client transfer money from the client’s EDJ account to the client’s bank account where the client then gave Jovi San Nicolas cashier checks totaling $49,000 to purchase Personal Seat Licenses for the new Las Vegas Raider’s National Football League team. This customer dispute settled for $51,685.

According to Jovi San Nicolas’s BrokerCheck Report, Jovi San Nicolas was discharged from Edward Jones in July 2020. Edward Jones alleged concerns that a client issued cashier’s checks to Jovi San Nicolas with proceeds from withdrawal from firm account. Jovi San Nicolas stated that the checks were for the option of purchasing two Personal Seat Licenses (“PSLs”) for the Las Vegas Raiders football team, to be transferred to the client’s name later in 2020. At the time of termination, the client had not received the purported PSLs.
