About Us

Representing Small Investors

Since its founding in 1991, Goodman & Nekvasil has always represented investors.

Goodman and Nekvasil P. A. was founded in 1991 by Joel Goodman and Kalju Nekvasil to provide representation for investors victimized by unscrupulous financial advisors. The firm, located in Saint Petersburg, Florida, represents clients all over the United States.

To date, the firm has recovered over $200 million for its clients; successfully resolving more than 99% of its cases.

Mr. Nekvasil has more than 38 years of legal experience in the securities arbitration, litigation and regulatory fields and has been profiled in national investment publications.

Mr. Nekvasil began his career as Regional Counsel for the NASD, now called FINRA, prosecuting stockbrokers for illegal practices. This early experience in this specialized area of the law ignited a passion in Mr. Nekvasil to represent investors who have been victims of securities fraud.

Today, the staff includes attorney Stephen Krosschell (who appeared in front of the U.S. Supreme Court in Harvey v. Salomon Smith Barney, Inc.), and nine other staff members who provide in-house legal and financial analysis, web research, and paralegal support.

The national stage is well known to the attorneys at Goodman & Nekvasil. From the beginning the firm has practiced securities arbitration and litigation across the country. With this breadth of experience, the firm has remained flexible to the changing nature of fraud in the United States.
