The SEC alleges that Wavemark Capital, LLC raised approximately $9.6 million from nearly 100 investors. Promissory Notes were sold between October 2021 and February 2025 through Wavemark Income Fund, LLC, according to the SEC.
Investors purchased promissory notes after being told their money would be used to purchase mobile homes and install them. Note-holders were allegedly promised annualized returns of 12% to 14%.
The SEC alleges that Wavemark did not purchase any mobile homes. Instead, the SEC alleges that investor money was used for Ponzi-like payments, sales commissions, debts, and operating expenses of affiliated entities.
