Taek Chong was a licensed financial advisor with Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. from 2000 to 2018. Taek Chong was barred from the securities and investment banking industry on June 28, 2018. FINRA reports that Taek Chong consented to the sanction and to the entry of findings that Taek Chong failed to provide information requested by FINRA in connection with its investigation of Taek Chong’s voluntary termination from Taek Chong’s member firm while Taek Chong was under internal review for commission amounts associated with large institutional trades.
FINRA also reports complaint involving Taek Chong, alleging overpayment of commissions, was settled in May 2018 for $1,091,070.30. FINRA reports that a second complaint involving Taek Chong’s conduct is pending and also alleges overpayment of commissions. This pending complaint alleges damages of $919,868.71.
