Sylvester King Jr. was previously registered with Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. According to Sylvester King Jr.’s CRD, the SEC barred Sylvester King Jr., alleging Sylvester King Jr.’s participation in selling more than $5 million of unregistered, illiquid securities to his professional athlete brokerage customers and investment advisory clients in an internet branding company known as Global Village Concerns, Inc. (GVC). According to the SEC, Sylvester King Jr. was issued GVC stock options and warrants provided by GVC; Sylvester King Jr.’s conduct with respect to the sale of GVC securities occurred outside and independent of his employment with registered broker-dealers. Sylvester King Jr. misrepresented and omitted material information about the GVC investments to his investment advisory clients and presented this information to his advisory clients without conducting due diligence to verify any of the information he provided to his advisory client. According to the SEC, Sylvester King Jr. also used his personal communication devices and emails to communicate with his brokerage customers and others about the firms’ business without causing copies of these communications to be sent to or preserved on the broker-dealers’ respective email servers or preserved in paper form.

According to Sylvester King Jr.’s CRD, eight customer complaints have been filed against Sylvester King Jr. based on allegations pertaining to sales practice violations. According to Sylvester King Jr.’s CRD, the allegations filed against Sylvester King Jr. include breach of fiduciary duty, negligence and gross negligence, negligent supervision, solicitation of claimant(s) to outside and unauthorized investment opportunities, and unsuitability, among other allegations. According to Sylvester King Jr.’s CRD, four of the customer disputes settled in the amounts of $1,100,000.00, $700,000.00, $600,000.00, and $228,000.00 in favor of the victimized investors.
