Ronald Richer has been a licensed financial advisor with Garden State Securities, Inc., since 2014. FINRA reports that an arbitration claim was filed in 2017, alleging churning and unsuitable transactions. According to FINRA, the claimants asserted the following causes of action: unsuitability and overconcentration; failure to supervise; breach of fiduciary duty; negligence; breach of contract; fraud and fraudulent misrepresentation; unauthorized trading and unauthorized use of margin; and lost opportunity damages. According to FINRA, the causes of action relate to Claimants’ investment in Theravance Inc. stock and put options. In the award dated August 15, 2018, the Arbitrator determined respondents Garden State and Ronald Richer’s request for expungement are denied.
According to FINRA records, two additional arbitration claims were settled while registered with Garden State Securities. In May 2016 a claim was settled alleging unauthorized trading, negligence and failure to supervise. In September of 2018 a claim was settled alleging unsuitability and breach of fiduciary responsibility.
