Goodman & Nekvasil P.A., May Recover Losses | Bill Gammon – Arbitration Claims Filed Involving Financial Advisor Bill Gammon
Bill Gammon has been licensed with Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. since 2010. FINRA reports that an arbitration claim was filed involving Bill Gammon’s conduct with Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. and prior employers, alleging fraud, unsuitability, negligent misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of the covenants of good faith and fair dealing, negligent supervision, breach of contract, churning, section 20 violations and respondeat superior in the sale of Behringer Harvard REIT I, Core Series 2008, Core Series 2007, Behringer Harvard Multifamily REIT, Behringer Harvard Opportunity REIT and Cornerstone Core Properties REIT. This arbitration claim was settled for $340,000.
FINRA reports that 18 additional complaints and/or arbitration claims were filed involving Bill Gammon’s conduct with prior employers, alleging fraud, breach of fiduciary, unsuitable real estate investments, misrepresentation, negligence, negligent supervision, omission of material information, common law fraud and/or other allegations. These complaints and/or arbitration claims were all settled, with the largest complaints and/or arbitration claims settling for $250,000, $176,500, and $138,500.
FINRA also reports that a lawsuit involving Bill Gammon’s conduct with a prior firm was filed, alleging fraud, misrepresentation, negligence, negligent supervision, violation of the Maryland Securities Act, and unsuitable recommendations in the sale of $200,000 in various REITs. This pending lawsuit seeks $300,000 in damages.
