Goodman & Nekvasil P.A, May Recover Investor Losses – Steven Mark Wyatt (Steve Wyatt) Suspended from Securities Industry and Fired by Morgan Stanley Smith Barney
From 2009 until Steve Wyatt’s firing in 2012, Steve Wyatt was licensed with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. According to FINRA’s records, Steve Wyatt was fired by Morgan Stanley Smith Barney on June 22, 2012. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney reported to FINRA that Steve Wyatt was fired after being accused of participation and solicitation of unapproved outside investments. FINRA also reports eight arbitration claims involving Steve Wyatt have been settled for amounts as high as $1,295,815.42, $408,000 and $371,657.
Subsequent to Steve Wyatt’s firing, FINRA brought a disciplinary action against Steve Wyatt. Steve Wyatt consented to a 4-month suspension and a $12,500 monetary fine. FINRA reports that Steve Wyatt consented to the entry of findings that Steve Wyatt introduced and recommended the purchase of private securities in a Indiana-based medical device company to clients of his member firm.
Additionally, the State of Mississippi brought disciplinary action against Steve Wyatt. Steve Wyatt consented to a bar affecting all capacities in the State of Mississippi.
