Steve Ridgley – Financial Advisor Steve Ridgley Suspended from Securities Industry | Goodman & Nekvasil P.A., May Recover Investor Losses

From 2000 until Steven Ridgley’s firing in 2015, Steven Ridgley was licensed with Waddell & Reed, Inc. Steven Ridgley was subsequently licensed with International Assets Advisory, LLC. According to FINRA’s records, Steven Ridgley was fired by Waddell & Reed, Inc. on January 27, 2015. Waddell & Reed, Inc. reported to FINRA that Steven Ridgley used discretion in multiple client accounts without written authorization in violation of Waddell & Reed, Inc.’s policies.

Subsequent to Steven Ridgley’s firing from Waddell & Reed, Inc. FINRA investigated Steven Ridgley and brought a disciplinary action against Steven Ridgley. FINRA reports that Steven Ridgley consented to a $10,000 fine and a 2 month suspension from the securities and investment banking industry. According to FINRA, Steven Ridgley also consented to findings that Steven Ridgley exercised discretion in effecting hundreds of securities transactions in customers’ accounts, when Steven Ridgely did not obtain prior written authorization from Steven Ridgley’s customers to exercise discretion in their accounts, or prior written approval from Steven Ridgley’s member firm for discretionary trading in these accounts.

FINRA also reports that Steven Ridgley has an outstanding tax lien against him held by the IRS in the amount of $71,800.
