From 2010 until Kevin Yang’s firing in 2017, Kevin Yang was licensed with Morgan Stanley. According to FINRA’s records, Kevin Yang was fired by Morgan Stanley on April 12, 2017. Morgan Stanley reported to FINRA that Kevin Yang’s firing related to allegations involving Kevin Yang’s compliance with pre-trade client confirmation requirement in connection with certain trades in non-discretionary accounts and with firm communications.
FINRA also reports that four complaints and/or arbitration claims involving Kevin Yang’s conduct with Morgan Stanley were filed, alleging unsuitability and/or misrepresentation. These complaints and/or arbitration claims all settled, with the two largest settling for $16,300,000 and $405,000. Three of these complaints and/or arbitration claims involved structured products.
