Goodman & Nekvasil, P.A., May Recover Your Losses – Forcefield Energy, Inc. (FNRG) f/k/a SunSi Energies, Inc.
Goodman & Nekvasil, P.A., can recover your losses if you invested in Forcefield Energy, Inc. (FNRG) through a licensed financial advisor, including Richard Brown, Gerry Cocuzzo, Maroof Miyana, Nick Khan, and/or Pranav Patel (Registered Representative Defendants). In 2016, the SEC charged 9 people with defrauding investors into purchasing Forcefield Energy, Inc. stock, causing investors $131 million in losses. The SEC allege that ForceField Energy, Inc.’s (FNRG) ex-chairman, defendant Richard St. Julien, orchestrated three separate schemes with the other defendants serving as Richard St. Julien’s accomplices for one or more of the schemes.
The SEC alleged that in one of these schemes, Richard St. Julien hired a purported “investor relations” professional, to pay cash kickbacks to the Registered Representatives in return for their recommending and purchasing ForceField Energy, Inc. (FNRG) stock in their customers’ accounts. The SEC alleged that the Registered Representative Defendants, all of whom were registered with the Commission and associated with registered broker-dealers, did not disclose to their customers that they were being paid these cash kickbacks.
The SEC alleged that in each of the three schemes, Richard St. Julien and the other Defendants tried to conceal their illegal conduct by, among other things, having Richard St. Julien pay most of the kickbacks through an offshore nominee Richard St. Julien controlled. The SEC also alleges that some of the Registered Representative Defendants also sought to conceal their illegal conduct by communicating with each other on prepaid, disposable (i.e. “drop” or “burner”) phones. Finally, the SEC alleges that Richard St. Julien, and some of the Registered Representative Defendants sought to conceal their illegal conduct by communicating with each other using an encrypted, content-expiring messaging app on their cellphones.
