Goodman & Nekvasil P.A., May Recover Investor Losses – Edward Lonnie Dover III Fired by SunTrust Investment Services, Inc. 

From 2005 until Edward Dover III’s firing in 2016, Edward Dover III was licensed with SunTrust Investment Services, Inc. Edward Dover III is now licensed with Moors & Cabot, Inc. According to FINRA’s records, Edward Dover III was fired by SunTrust Investment Services, Inc. on September 20, 2016. SunTrust Investment Services, Inc. reported to FINRA that Edward Dover III failed to follow procedures when processing a fixed annuity transaction–the transaction should have been processed as a 1035 Exchange. The firm reported to FINRA that that Edward Dover III failed to follow SunTrust Investment Services, Inc. policies with regard to resolution of the matter.

FINRA reports that five arbitration claims and/or complaints were filed involving Edward Dover III’s conduct with SunTrust Investment Services, Inc., alleging misrepresentation, failure to disclose risk and/or other allegations. These arbitration claims and/or complaints were all settled for $125,000, $107,000, $92,000, $90,000 and $58,000.

FINRA also reports that a previous arbitration claim involving Edward Dover III was filed, alleging fraud, negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, misrepresentation, and breach of contract. This case did not settle and proceeded to final hearing. The arbitration panel issued a $75,000 award for the customer. The arbitration panel found SunTrust Investment Services, Inc. liable on the claims of negligence and misrepresentation.
