Goodman & Nekvasil P.A, May Recover Investor Losses on Conservation Easement Investments – Cesar Omar Rodriguez (Cesar Rodriguez) Barred from Securities Industry and Fired by Avenir Financial Group
From 2013 until Cesar Rodriguez’s firing in 2015, Cesar Rodriguez was licensed with Avenir Financial Group. Cesar Rodriguez was previously licensed with American Trust Investment Services, Inc. According to FINRA, Cesar Rodriguez was fired by Avenir Financial Group on April 24, 2015. Avenir Financial Group reported to FINRA that Cesar Rodriguez was fired after consenting to the entry of findings that Cesar Rodriguez knowingly misrepresented the true use of investor proceeds and improperly misused the investors’ funds for personal expenses.
Concurrent to Cesar Rodriguez’s firing, FINRA brought a disciplinary action against Cesar Rodriguez in 2015. Cesar Rodriguez consented to a bar from the securities industry. Cesar Rodriguez consented to the entry of findings that Cesar Rodriguez repeatedly sold securities, by and through the sale of debenture and equity interests in Bull Run Capital Holdings, LLC to several investors who each provided Bull Run Capital Holdings, LLC with funds in exchange for equity interests in Bull Run Capital Holdings, LLC and/or the promise of interest and capital payments. The findings state that Cesar Rodriguez raised a total of $173,800 from the investors in equity and/or promissory note capital raises and that Cesar Rodriguez improperly used more than one-third of the investors’ proceeds.
FINRA reports that Cesar Rodriguez was named a respondent in an arbitration claim. The claim alleged unauthorized trading, breach of fiduciary duty, churning, manipulation, misrepresentation, suitability, negligence, indemnification, theft, recovery of commissions, swindle, and forgery.
