According to FINRA records, Marisel Velez was fired by Citigroup Global Markets, Inc. in May 2014. Citigroup Global Markets, Inc. reported to FINRA that Marisel Velez’ firing was related to allegations that Marisel Velez processed a transaction relying on a rescinded customer power of attorney.
FINRA reports that an arbitration claim has been filed involving Marisel Velez’ conduct with Citigroup Global Markets, Inc. This claim alleges that Marisel Velez made transactions in an account on the basis of a rescinded power of attorney, while Marisel Velez was with Citigroup Global Markets, Inc. This claim was settled for $67,005.81.
