From 2009 until his firing in 2015, Lewis Robinson worked for Morgan Stanley. According to FINRA’s records, Lewis Robinson was fired by Morgan Stanley on October 6, 2015. Morgan Stanley reported to FINRA that allegations against Lewis Robinson involved unapproved fee reimbursements made to a client.
Following Lewis Robinson’s discharge by Morgan Stanley, an arbitration claim against Lewis Robinson and Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, LLC was filed in July 2016. The claimant alleged breach of fiduciary duty, misrepresentations, unsuitability, failure to supervise and negligence by Lewis Robinson while Lewis Robinson was employed with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, LLC. This case did not settle and proceeded to final hearing. The arbitration panel issued a $29,060 award against Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, LLC and Lewis Robinson.
FINRA reports that four arbitration claims were filed alleging unsuitability and inaccurate account statement summaries by Lewis Robinson, while Lewis Robinson was with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, LLC. These claims against Lewis Robinson were all settled, with the largest being for $54,000.
