Goodman & Nekvasil P.A., May Recover Investor Losses | Larry Martin Boggs – Larry Boggs, Financial Advisor Barred from Securities Industry
Larry Boggs was previously licensed with Wedbush Securities, Inc. and Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. FINRA reports that Larry Boggs was barred from the securities industry in January 2018.
ACCORDING TO FINRA: Larry Boggs consented to the sanctions and to the entry of findings that Larry Boggs engaged in excessive and unsuitable trading in the accounts of customers. The findings stated that Larry Boggs engaged in a strategy that was predicated on short-term trading of primarily income-paying equity securities that were identified on a list of recommended securities by his member firm. FINRA reports that Larry Boggs would typically buy or sell these securities based on whether they were added or removed from this list and would frequently liquidate positions that increased or decreased by more than 10%. The findings also stated that Larry Boggs improperly exercised discretion in these accounts without written authorization from the customers or the firm. The findings also included that Larry Boggs caused the firm’s books and records to be incorrect by changing the investment objectives and risk tolerance for several of these customers in order that they would conform to his high frequency trading strategy, even though the customers’ investment objectives and risk tolerance had not actually changed.
If you lost money on investments with Larry Boggs and believe the investments may have been unsuitable or otherwise improper for you, we would like to discuss the possibility of your retaining our firm to represent you in an arbitration action concerning Larry Boggs’ conduct.
