From 2002 until Jose Canales’ discharge in 2014, Jose Canales was licensed with Lincoln Financial Securities Corporation. According to FINRA’s records, Jose Canales was discharged from Lincoln Financial Securities Corporation on May 2nd, 2014. Lincoln Financial Securities Corporation reported to FINRA that Jose Canales was discharged after allegedly accepting cash from customers for deposit into Jose Canales’s account, contrary to firm policy, in order to pay life insurance premiums, on behalf of Jose Canales’ customers.
Subsequent to Jose Canales’ discharge from Lincoln Financial Securities Corporation, FINRA investigated Jose Canales and brought a disciplinary action against Jose Canales. Jose Canales was barred from the securities and investment banking industry on August 22nd, 2014. FINRA reports that Jose Canales consented to the sanctions and to the entry of findings that Jose Canales failed to provide documents, information and to appear for testimony in response to FINRA requests.
