Jim Parrelly – Financial Advisor/Broker Suspended from Securities Industry | Goodman & Nekvasil, P.A. May Recover Investor Losses

Jim Parrelly a/k/a James Anthony Parrelly is a licensed financial advisor/broker with Investment Planners, Inc. According to FINRA, Jim Parrelly was fined $10,000 and suspended from the securities industry for 15 days in May 2020.

According to FINRA Allegations:

Between April 2015 and November 2018, Jim Parrelly exercised discretion in a customer’s securities account by executing transactions on approximately 100 dates without speaking to the customer on the transaction date and before he executed the transactions. Jim Parrelly had verbal authorization from the customer to exercise discretion in her account; however, Jim Parrelly failed to obtain prior written authorization from the customer and secure the firm’s written approval of his discretionary trading.

According to Jim Parrelly’s BrokerCheck Report:

A customer dispute was filed alleging sales practice violations against Jim Parrelly. This customer dispute alleges churning, negligence of duty and unsuitable investments. This customer dispute seeks $500,000 in damages.
