Goodman & Nekvasil P.A. Has Filed Claims on Behalf of Investors in Woodbridge Mortgage Investment Funds | Donna Barnard Formerly Licensed Financial Advisor

Donna Barnard was a Formerly Licensed Financial Advisor with HD Vest Investment Services (2014-2017), Signal Securities, Inc. (2013-2014) and Woodmen Financial Services, Inc. (2011-2012). Donna Barnard was a business partner of Jerry Raines and they jointly also operated a business named Stonelion Insurance & Financial Services LLC.

Goodman & Nekvasil, P.A. currently represents clients of Jerry Raines who invested more than $3 million in the fraudulent Woodbridge Mortgage Investment Fund. Donna Barnard attended the Woodbridge sales meetings that Jerry Raines had with at least one of our clients. Further, it is our understanding that Donna Barnard assisted Jerry Raines in Jerry Raines’ marketing of Woodbridge. We have filed arbitration claims on behalf of our Woodbridge clients against HD Vest, Signal Securities and Woodmen, seeking to recover our clients’ entire Woodbridge investment, along with legal interest, attorneys fees and punitive damages.

The SEC recently filed an action alleging that the Woodbridge Mortgage Investment Fund is a Ponzi Scheme. According to the SEC, Woodbridge Mortgage Investment Fund raised more than $1.22 billion from over 8,400 unsuspecting investors nationwide through fraudulent unregistered securities offerings. The SEC alleges that this fraudulent scheme collapsed in December 2017 and left investors with “substantial losses”, as they are owed at least $961 million in principal.

If you invested in the Woodbridge Mortgage Investment Funds through Donna Barnard or Jerry Raines, you may be able to recover your losses from HD Vest Investment Services, Signal Securities, Inc. and/or Woodmen Financial Services, Inc. This is because HD Vest Investment Services, Signal Securities, Inc. and Woodmen Financial Services, Inc. had a duty to supervise Donna Barnard and Jerry Raines.

If you invested in the Woodbridge Mortgage Investment Funds through Donna Barnard or Jerry Raines, we would like to discuss the possibility of your retaining our firm to represent you in an arbitration action against HD Vest Investment Services, Signal Securities, Inc. and/or Woodmen Financial Services, Inc. concerning Donna Barnard’s and Jerry Raines’ conduct. There is no charge for an evaluation of your case. Further, we handle our cases on a contingency fee basis. This means that unless we recover money for you, we charge no attorney’s fee. Unless you recover any money, you pay us nothing, not even the costs and expenses which the firm will advance on your behalf. You will continue to own your claim in the Woodbridge Bankruptcy; our case involves a separate, additional avenue of recovery.

Kalju Nekvasil, Esq., formerly regional counsel with the NASD, now known as FINRA, has practiced in this area of the law for more than 35 years. Goodman & Nekvasil, P.A. has recovered more than $300 million on behalf of victimized investors. If you invested in the Woodbridge Mortgage Investment Funds with Donna Barnard or Jerry Raines and would like your case evaluated by a securities attorney (again, there is no charge for an evaluation and all cases are handled on a purely contingency fee basis), please contact us.
