David Dalton was a registered financial advisor with Moors & Cabot, Inc. before being suspended. According to FINRA, David Dalton was fined $7,500 and will be suspended from the securities industry for three months in February 2020.
According to FINRA Allegations:
David Dalton consented to the sanctions and to the entry of findings that David Dalton exercised discretionary trading authority in David Dalton’s member firm customers’ accounts without having first obtained written authorization from the customers or the firm to treat the accounts as discretionary. The findings stated that David Dalton made false statements regarding his exercise of discretion in firm annual compliance questionnaires. The findings also stated that David Dalton failed to indicate that he had exercised discretionary trading authority, which caused the firm to create and maintain inaccurate order memoranda.
