Craig Sutherland has been licensed with Money Concepts Capital Corp. since 1994. The State of Ohio Division of Securities reports that on or about February 20, 2018, a complaint was filed with FINRA by Ohio investors, Case No. 18-00575, alleging that Craig Sutherland and MCCC engaged in unsuitable investments, negligence, failure to conduct due diligence, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, and fraud and claiming damages in the amount of $260,000. As of the date of this Notice Order, the matter remains pending.
The State of Ohio also reports that on or about February 22, 2018, a complaint was filed with FINRA by an Ohio investor, Case No. 18-00696, alleging that Respondent and MCCC engaged in unsuitable investments, negligence, failure to conduct due diligence, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, and fraud and claiming damages in the amount of $400,000. As of the date of this Notice Order; the matter remains pending.
The state of Ohio reports that on or about December 26, 2017, Respondent entered into a Letter of Acceptance, Waiver and Consent (hereinafter “AWC”) with FINRA, No. 2016049804101, for violative conduct of Respondent. According to the State of Ohio, FINRA found that Respondent violated FINRA Rule 2010 by using his personal e-mail account for business purposes. According to the State of Ohio, FINRA also found that Respondent violated FINRA Rule 2210(d)(1)(B) and 2010 by making false and misleading statements to clients. Respondent consented to a 15 business-day suspension and a $5,000.00 fine.
