Armando Fernandez is a currently licensed financial advisor with American Portfolios Financial Services, Inc. According to FINRA, Armando Fernandez was suspended from the securities industry for 20 days and fined $7,500 in August 2016.
According to the FINRA Complaint:
Armando Fernandez consented to the sanctions and to the entry of findings that Armando Fernandez exercised discretion in a customer’s account and executed related trades without written authorization from the customer and without obtaining prior written acceptance of the account as discretionary from his member firm. The findings stated that Armando Fernandez mismarked order tickets as unsolicited when, in fact, the trades were solicited, thereby causing the firm to maintain inaccurate books and records.
According to Armando Fernandez’ BrokerCheck Report:
A customer dispute was recently filed alleging sales practice violations against Armando Fernandez. Allegations in the complaint include: unsuitability, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, breach of contract, violations of FINRA Rules 2010, 2020 & 2111. This customer dispute was settled for $28,000.
