Arlyn Stokesbary was a formerly licensed financial advisor with Thrivent Investment Management, Inc. FINRA reports that Arlyn Stokesbary was fined $5,000 and suspended from the securities industry for 15 days in August 2019.
According to FINRA: Arlyn Stokesbary consented to the sanctions and to the entry of findings that he exercised discretion in customers’ accounts without written authorization from the customers and without acceptance of the accounts as discretionary by Arlyn Stokesbary’s member firm.
According to Arlyn Stokesbary’s, Arlyn Stokesbary was discharged from Thrivent Investment Management, Inc. in August 2018. Thrivent Investment Management, Inc. reported that Arlyn Stokesbary’s association with the Firm was terminated for failing to discontinue improper trading practices in commission-based Brokerage Accounts after being educated.
