Angel Morey is a currently licensed financial advisor/broker with Nationwide Planning Associates Inc. Angel Morey was a previously licensed financial advisor/broker with Aegis Capital Corp., UBS Financial Services Inc., and UBS Financial Services Incorporated of Puerto Rico. According to Angel Morey’s BrokerCheck Report, five recent customer disputes have been filed alleging sales practice violations against Angel Morey.
Customer Dispute (8/15/2019): Allegations against Angel Morey are unsuitability, over-concentration, and misrepresentation. This customer dispute is pending and seeks $250,000 in damages. The products at issue are Puerto Rico closed-end funds and municipal bonds.
Customer Dispute (6/24/2019): Client alleged against Angel Morey that Angel Morey’s recommendation to invest in and hold Puerto Rico closed-end funds and Puerto Rico bonds was unsuitable and that the Client’s account was over-concentrated in those investments. The Client further alleged against Angel Morey that the risks of investing in the Puerto Rico investments were misrepresented and that the leverage and liquidity risks of the Puerto Rico investments were not disclosed. Customer Dispute 9/17/2018): Allegations against Angel Morey are unsuitability, over-concentration, and misrepresentation. This customer dispute is pending and seeks $100,000 to $500,000 in damages. The product at issue is UBS closed-end funds.
Customer Dispute (8/31/2018): Allegations against Angel Morey are unsuitability, over-concentration, and misrepresentation. This customer dispute is pending and seeks $1,000,000 in damages. The products at issue are Puerto Rico closed-end funds and Puerto Rico municipal bonds.
Angel Morey’s BrokerCheck Report also reports that nine other customer disputes alleging sales practice violations against Angel Morey have been settled. The largest settlements were $155,000, $150,000, $105,000, $90,000, and $82,000. All of these customer disputes involved Puerto Rico closed-end bonds and/or funds.
