Customer Dispute 8/30/17: Andrew Tressler was a subject of a customer’s complaint against Andrew Tressler’s member firm that asserted the following causes of action: fraud, negligent misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty and breach of the covenants of good faith and fair dealing, negligent supervision, breach of conduct, violations of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and respondeat superior. The causes of action related to Claimant’s allegations that Andrew Tessler invested his funds in leveraged gold ETFs and in tech, steel and aggressive market sector stocks. Andrew Tressler’s member firm was found liable and was ordered to pay Claimant the sum of $16,778 in compensatory damages.
Customer Dispute 6/10/15: The client claims that in or about June 2014 Andrew Tressler and [third party] took over his account at LPFS after his former Rep. left. They then traded the account largely without authority and traded the clients account for the singular purpose of generating commissions for themselves. This customer dispute was settled for $18,000.
