According to FINRA Allegations:
Alexander Lycouris consented to the sanction and to the entry of findings that Alexander Lycouris participated in an outside business activity without providing prior written notice to his member firm. The findings stated that Alexander Lycouris began working for a company offering subscription-based stock and cryptocurrency research and recommendations. The company enlisted him to design an automated system that would direct emails to its existing subscribers nearing expiration, as well the founder’s followers on LinkedIn. Over a period of time, the company paid Alexander Lycouris a salary and bonuses for his employment. The findings also stated that during its investigation into his outside business activity, FINRA requested information from Alexander Lycouris regarding his outside business activities, which he failed to provide in a timely manner. FINRA sent letters to Alexander Lycouris requesting the production of information and documents related to his outside business activity with the company and his disassociation with his firm. In his response to the initial requests, Alexander Lycouris did not disclose the full duration of his employment with or amount of compensation he received from the company. Later, FINRA sent an additional request for documents and information to Alexander Lycouris to further investigate the scope of his involvement with the company. In his supplementary response through counsel, Alexander Lycouris disclosed that he was employed by the company for a greater duration and received more in compensation than he initially disclosed. Although, Alexander Lycouris eventually provided the information sought by the initial requests, he failed to do so timely, delaying his complete response by more than three months.
