FINRA barred California broker Darrell Rideaux following an investigation into allegations that Darrell Rideaux solicited private placement investments away from Morgan Stanley, Darrell Rideaux’s firm at the time of the purported misconduct. Additionally, FINRA opted to bar Darrell Rideaux after Darrell Rideaux refused to provide requested testimony pertaining to the investigation, finding that Darrell Rideaux’s alleged selling away activity resulted in financial losses for Darrell Rideaux’s investors.
Goodman & Nekvasil, P.A. has filed an arbitration claim against Morgan Stanley, seeking to recover monies lost on investments with Darrell Walter Rideaux, including monies lost on Global Communications V Inc. (GCV). FINRA reports that a lawsuit involving Darrell Rideaux’s conduct with Morgan Stanley has also been filed, alleging that Darrell Rideaux misrepresented a non-firm product known as Grand Bahamas Refinery Project (GBRP). The lawsuit alleges that this investment was not legitimate and was based on a fictious “prime bank fraud” investment scheme. This pending lawsuit seeks $10,000,000 in damages.
Darrell Rideaux worked for Morgan Stanley from 2013 until 2015. Darrell Rideaux subsequently worked for NMS Capital Advisors, LLC. Darrell Rideaux was barred from the securities and investment banking industry by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) on February 16, 2018. FINRA reports that Darrell Rideaux consented to the sanction and to the entry of findings that Darrell Rideaux refused to appear to provide on-the-record testimony requested by FINRA in connection with its investigation of civil claims filed against him alleging that he solicited private placement investments that resulted in financial losses to his investors.
