Goodman & Nekvasil P.A., May Recover Investor Losses – Shannan Maureen Denison (Shannan Denison) Fired by Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. Twice

From 2001 until Shannan Denison’s first firing in 2011, and from 2012 until Shannon Denison’s second firing in 2013, Shannan Denison was licensed with Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. Shannan Denison is now licensed with International Assets Advisory, LLC. According to FINRA’s records, Shannan Denison was fired by Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. on December 15, 2011 and again on March 26, 2013. Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. reported to FINRA that Shannan Denison was terminated on December 15, 2011 for violation of company policy related to transferring client funds without prior client approval. Regarding Shannon Denison’s second firing, Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. reported to FINRA that Shannon Denison did not meet eligibility requirements at the time of Shannon Denison’s hiring.  

FINRA reports that an arbitration claim was filed involving Shannan Denison’s conduct with Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. alleging Shannan Denison advised the claimant to take five partial surrenders from two variable annuity policies to reinvest the proceeds in an Ameriprise account. FINRA reports that the claimant claims that the surrenders had adverse impacts on his annuity benefits. This arbitration claim was settled for $100,000, with Shannan Denison contributing $14,999 to the settlement.
