FINRA suspended Michael Hajek and Jason Sayles, licensed financial advisors, for assisting firm customers to transfer a total of nearly $1.8 million in cash and assets from their brokerage firm accounts to self-directed IRA accounts. According to FINRA, these clients invested more than $2.3 million in investments such as shares in privately held corporations, private placements of membership units and other equity investments in and/or promissory notes issued by nine companies. Karen Hajek was also suspended from the securities industry. Karen Hajek consented to findings that Karen Hajek failed to properly her involvement in outside business activities.
