Jodi Padgett, Financial Advisor Under Investigation by FINRA | Goodman & Nekvasil P.A., May Recover Investor Losses

Goodman & Nekvasil P.A., May Recover Investor Losses | Jodi Padgett, Financial Advisor Under Investigation by FINRA

Jodi Padgett has been a licensed financial advisor with Royal Alliance Associates, Inc. since 1995. FINRA reports that Jodi Padgett is under investigation related to allegations of failing to timely and accurately disclose outside business activity. FINRA reports that Jodi Padgett was named a respondent in a FINRA complaint alleging that she engaged in an undisclosed and unapproved outside business activity with a dealer involving the sale of precious metal bullion coins. The complaint alleges that Jodi Padgett failed to disclose the outside business activities in writing, via an outside business request form to Jodi Padgett’s member firm. The outside business activities included referring individuals to the dealer for the purpose of those individuals purchasing bullion coins and the dealer paying a referral fee as compensation. Jodi Padgett made referrals that involved the firm's customers. The firm's policy permitted its registered representatives to sell only products approved by it. In addition, the firm's sales practice manual prohibited firm registered representatives from assisting a customer in the purchase or sale of gold, silver or other precious metals.
